2841. Russia announces the new cabinet (January 21)
[Summary]
Following the resignation of the entire cabinet, including former Prime Minister Medvedev, President Putin appointed Mikhail Mishustin as the next Prime Minister on the 15th. The new cabinet (9 vice-prime ministers and 21 ministers) were announced on January 21. Except for ministers of defense, foreign affairs, and internal affairs, most ministers in the social area such as health and education were replaced.
2. Maxim Reshetnikov appointed as the Minister of Economic Development (January 21)

President Putin of Russia appointed Maxim Reshetnikov as Minister of
Economic Development on January 21. The new minister was born in 1979 in the
city of Perm and served in the Perm State Ministry of Administration, Federal
Ministry of Regional Development, Federal Government, Moscow City Council, and
also as the Chief of Administration for the Governor of Perm, and the Governor
of Perm.

3. Skolkovo Foundation hosts the Vladivostok Start-up Tour (January 23)
[Summary]
The annual Open Innovation Start-up Tour will be held in Vladivostok from January 23. This event is in its tenth year (third year in Vladivostok) to strengthen and popularise local entrepreneurial activities. Major programs include training and mentoring, and the winner receives prize money, as well as the opportunity to participate in the Start-up Village semifinals (The Open Innovation Start-up Tour this year will be held in 10 cities over 3 months)
